About Us

Cathy Peachey

“You can never die as long as you have given pieces of yourself to others.”

The Catherine Peachey Fund was established in honor of Cathy Peachey, one of the founders of the Indiana Breast Cancer Coalition. Cathy helped lead the way for the Off-Label Drug Bill, which now guarantees access to non-FDA approved anticancer drugs.

Cathy Peachey was well-known in the Greater Indianapolis community for her Cath Inc. coffee shops, and was named one of Indianapolis Monthly’s Most Intriguing People in 1994. She died from breast cancer at the age of 43. She left us with a loving ache in our hearts and the pressing urgency and responsibility to make a difference.

The Catherine Peachey Breast Cancer Prevention Fund was founded in 1994 by Cathy’s friends and family, and a matching gift from Lilly. Today, we continue her fight by offering support to programs on the leading edge of breast cancer research.
