Why do you choose to support the Catherine Peachey Fund?

We choose to support the Catherine Peachey Fund because breast cancer has affected so many of our loved ones. We see too many young women with new families getting diagnosed and having to fight this terrible disease. We love that the Catherine Peachey Fund supports research right here in Indiana. Seeing the innovative research projects they support making a meaningful impact on our breast cancer community gives us hope for a future without breast cancer.

 

What advances in breast cancer research or patient care do you hope to see?

We would love to see more research and education on breast cancer prevention, and on understanding how our daily life choices of diet, exercise and regular screenings can potentially prevent a diagnosis. For those who are undergoing treatment, research is needed to understand how adjusting one’s lifestyle and treatment schedule may decrease side effects and improve quality of life, as well as stop breast cancer from reoccurring.

 

Is there anything you wish you could tell breast cancer researchers?

To the researchers being supported by the Catherine Peachey Fund, we would like to say, “Thank you!” Your endless passion and commitment to improving treatments, finding new technologies for early detection, as well advancing patient care has not gone unnoticed. We are forever grateful for your continuous dedication!
